Juniata Fabrics is a young company with a lot of history! Our main manufacturing facility has been known locally as "the Silk Mill" since the 1930's. In this building, the Schwarzenbach Huber Company wove silk and other fine fabrics for over fifty years. Times changed and our product line shifted to include the high-tech fabrics and materials used in the "computer revolution". Impression fabric became a particular specialty. With changes in the product line came a wave of globalization and consolidation and in the 1980's, our operations became part of Bomont Industries. As part of this organization, our mill continued to produce high quality goods, made to customer specifications and delivered quickly. Impression fabrics continued to be a specialty fabric much in demand. We've seen a lot of changes in products and processes but through it all, our dedicated workforce has consistently been able to adapt, produce and excel. In January 2000, we underwent another change in ownership, being purchased by management and becoming Juniata Fabrics. The same people, products and commitment to quality assure you of continued satisfaction...even though we're just a "young" company. Our business was built on a foundation designed for growth, expansion and change. Our slitting operation was designed by us and continues to be improved by our technical specialists. Our finishing system assures accurate quality for consistent absorbency of nylon fabrics. Our air jet looms are state-of-the-art, producing defect-free materials exclusively for the printer ribbon industry. Quality control of fabric manufacturing is systematic and thorough - from the time the yarn is received to when the finished product is shipped. Our technician's continuous inspections of specially finished nylon fabrics gaurantee removal of 99.90 percent of all non-fibrous residue before shipment to our customers. All ribbon fabric is cross checked for pH, caliper, weight, thread count, absorbency and size conformance in environmentally controlled laboratories. Inkers can process our material with confidence in product performance and consistency. Our technology and processing machinery are current and efficient, but without the commitment and competence of our veteran employees, Juniata Fabrics is just another company. Our employees make the difference, they help make Juniata Fabrics a leader. Our reputation for service proceeds from the quality of our products manufactured by a dedicated, able staff. That reputation for service is shored up by an electronic inventory system that assures shipment of most standard-size orders within 24 hours. And nobody can touch our response time when it comes to handling special and rush orders. Plus, we certify our products to match inker specifications for reel length and multiples, providing real cost efficiencies for the inker. The Juniata Fabrics culture is steeped in service to our customers. Our history confirms the fact that we have been there, when you've needed us. As we move more solidly into global markets, we carry that tradition of service with us. Today we respond more ably to challenges. We are sensitive to the different and changing needs that confront our customers. We have anticipated the demands of emerging and sophisticated technologies. More than ever, Juniata Fabrics stands ready to serve you, where you are and where you need us. |
